        1. Lennox & Addington County ARES
        2. The Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES) is composed of licensed radio amateurs who have voluntarily registered to use their qualifications and equipment for public service communications duty when disaster strikes.
        3. ARES groups are called into service by a municipal official in response to a declared emergency or disaster. The ARES program also provides for mutual assistance to adjacent groups or when an area, district, provincial or national emergency is declared.
        4. At the moment Lennox-Addington is the only county in Ontario without a dedicated ARES group and currently relies on support from Hastings and Frontenac counties in times of trouble. Part of the Loyalist ARES District, we are looking for interested volunteers to help organise an ARES group in the county.
        5. Free training is available.
        6. If you are interested in getting involved with ARES in Lennox-Addington, please contact Bill Nangle ve3clq (at) gmail.com or Bill Milligan va3wow (at) rac.ca
